Educate
Through this website, our blog and an extensive email network, we educate the public, legislators, organizers, and the media about efforts to privatize public lands and commercialize our National Heritage. We do this by researching the issue and the major players, alerting interested parties, and providing documentation of corporate attempts to take over our National Forests.

Advocate
In addition to actively commenting on development proposals by the National Park Service, US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and other agencies, we organize rallies and letter-writing campaigns to bring attention to the issue of privatizing public lands. We have worked with partners across the country to pass dozens of City, County and State Resolutions opposing forest fees. We advise the public on ways to fight forest fees, and we work with attorneys who are helping people who have been ticketed to develop legal challenges to these programs.
